About Us

International(e)

As an international church we have a vibrant fellowship with people from many different nations and cultures. Our worship services are bilingual, in English and German, and express our distinctive international and multicultural identity. Our services take place in Erlangen, which is approximately 20 minutes drive from Nuremberg.

Jesus

Our most important relationship is to Jesus Christ, who gave us the gift of new life. He is the centre of our life and our church and he holds us together.

Gemeinde (Church)

Our Church (Gemeinde) is an evangelical, Pentecostal free-church, where you can experience God. We believe that God is revealed in three persons: God the Father, who loves us and gave his son to us for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus, who sent us the Holy Spirit as a gift of grace so that we might have fellowship with God. The Holy Spirit, who empowers and equips us with gifts that enable us to serve the World.

The Bible is the foundation of our faith. We celebrate God in our worship services with lively praise and practical sermons; we encourage and pray for each other. Loving relationships, developing spiritual maturity and strong families are particularly important to us.

The Internationale Jesus Gemeinde is a member of the Church of God of Prophecy (Cleveland, TN, USA, www.cogop.org). The network of the Church of God of Prophecy is based in over more than 130 nations and has a membership of over 1 million worshipping in over 10,000 churches. The Church of God of Prophecy is as a Pentecostal movement part of the world-wide Pentecostal-charismatic movement which has over 600 million believers and is the second largest Christian movement worldwide.

In Germany there are three IJG churches: in Langen (Frankfurt/M), Erlangen (near Nuremberg) and Munich, all of which are additionally members of the Gemeinde Gottes Deutschland, KdöR (Church of God Germany). Our church is led by Pastor Christian Fricke together with a team of elders and team leaders from various groups and ministries.
